The Namibian University of Science and Technology (NUST) through the Department of Agriculture and Natural Resource Sciences has recently received the award for top Research and Development at the recent Namibia Sustainable Development Awards in Windhoek. The awards are aimed at raising awareness about the importance of sustainable development, recognizing and rewarding contributions of individuals and institutions in the field and inspiring the nation to contribute to its sustainable development, these event was the second edition of the awards.

ResMob and NUST have worked in close collaboration in the areas of natural resource accounting and conservation which are under the Department of Agriculture and Natural Resource Sciences. The project has supported NUST in conducting summer schools on the valuation of Ecosystem Services for the past three years and the project also provided scholarships to students from the institution. With an aim of developing the capacities of the future generations towards implementing the national sustainable development goals, the project and NUST enjoy a fruitful relationship.
